  20. Flyer List Serv
  21.     The Flyer is currently part of the Toaster.  Many of
  22. you who do not have a Flyer will be upgrading to system 4.0
  23. soon and you will encounter many of the problems mentioned by
  24. the Flyer owners now.  The the Flyer comes out for the PC that
  25. would be a good time to seperate the lists
  26.  
  27. Tape Backup
  28.     DAT backup doesn't give you much room
  29.     Exabyte takes too much time (14hrs for a 9 gig;thats on
  30. 2 tapes)
  31.     The solution is the DLT by Digital, but the cost is
  32. over $5k
  33.     
  34.     The Flyer doesn't allow for compression even if you
  35. drive has it enabled.

  37. 4.03
  38.     Problems you will find when you install 4.03
  39.     If you are installing from .94 you will need to
  40. reformat your drives for best performance, and you will also
  41. need to re digitize you clips, because they wont sequence
  42. correctly.
  43.     If you are upgtading from 4.02 you may experience some
  44. of the problems as if you upgraded from .94 so it would be a
  45. good idea to

  49. Another hint when using the Flyer.
  50.     When you want to perform any function to a drive on a
  51. Flyer bus, do it thru the Flyer.  Icons are not automatically
  52. copied when in Amiga Dos, and you will have many formatting
  53. errors(Formatting thru Amiga Dos also destroys the purpose of
  54. the flyer having its own buses.
